How much does mold remediation cost in Gettysburg?
It depends on how many assemblies are wet, whether we are cutting a basement finish, and whether a crawl needs a liner. We do not publish a fake “average job” number. The quote form is how you get a range after someone has seen photos or the house.
Will homeowners insurance pay?
Sometimes, when mold follows a sudden covered leak. Chronic seepage and maintenance issues are often excluded. We can document what we opened; we do not promise a carrier will pay.
Can I stay in the house during the work?
Often yes if the job is a contained basement or crawl and the living floor stays behind barriers. A whole-house or HVAC-involved job may mean you sleep elsewhere for a few days. That call is made at inspection.
What about pets?
Keep pets out of the contained area. We will tell you if a day of empty-house access is needed for negative air and demo.
Do I need to throw away furniture and clothes?
Soft goods that were wet and growing usually leave. Hard surfaces can often be cleaned. We do not run a contents-restoration plant — we will say what should be discarded vs. wiped.
Is a musty smell enough to call?
In an Adams County basement, yes — smell plus a wet wall is a reason to inspect. Smell alone in a closed guest room after a humid week may be ventilation. We would rather walk it than sell a test kit by phone.
Do you use fogging or ozone instead of removal?
No. Those are not a substitute for taking out contaminated porous material and fixing the water path.
